Untuk pertama kali potensi Desa Gintangan diangkat melalui Festival Bambu yang berlangsung selama 3 hari (11-13 Mei 2017). Selama ini desa yang masuk dalam Kecamatan Blimbingsari, Kabupaten Banyuwangi ini memang dikenal sebagai sentra kerajinan bambu.
