Banyuwangi memiliki kebudayaan yang dilestarikan dan potensi
keindahan alam yang cukup besar, meliputi gunung, lautan dan taman nasional
yang layak menyandang predikat geopark.





Pohon trembesi yang telah berusia puluhan tahun di Djawatan Benculuk, salah satu kekayaan hayati Banyuwangi yang masih terjaga baik.




Atas pertimbangan tersebut, Jejaring Geopark Indonesia
mengusulkan Banyuwangi

LOMBA NGEMEK IWAK, CARA BANYUWANGI MEMBUDAYAKAN BUDIDAYA IKAN MINA PADI

Lomba Ngemek Iwak - Pemkab Banyuwangi punya cara unik untuk membudayakan
budidaya ikan di sawah melalui mina padi. Caranya dengan mengadakan lomba
Ngemek Iwak. Yaitu menangkap ikan dengan tangan kosong.
